Directly from Barranquilla, Colombia, La Hechicera convinces with the genuineness of its rums, aged between 12 and 21 years, which are blended in the Solera process to a strong rum. There, for three generations, the Riascos family has dedicated itself to striving for the highest quality and an expressive taste of their rum. The combination of selected sugar cane, a gentle ageing process and a long family tradition results in a rum that inspires both the nose and the palate on all levels. Under the strict care of the master blender only the best raw materials mature in selected barrels for the production of La Hechicera. Produced in the most traditional way, this rum gets its full flavour only from the noble wood of the barrels, not from additives or added sugar. In the nose La Hechicera is intense with wood tones and accents of sweet toffee, orange peel and mint. On the palate it shows rich aromas of roasted coffee, pepper and tobacco. The finish is persistent and soft, slightly nutty with hints of chocolate.
